About Us
In 1983 Steven and Robin Smith purchased a 50 acre orange grove in Santa Paula, now known as Mud Creek Ranch. In 1993 the family began selling oranges, avocados and lemons at local farmers' markets in Ventura and Santa Barbara County. Over the years the farm began growing specialty varieties of citrus and fruits and now is known for having one of the largest selections of tangerine varieties throughout Southern California. Someone once said, “Walking through the orchard of Mud Creek Ranch makes you feel like you have just traveled all over the world in one day.” Now the Ranch has increased to 65 acres and has one of the most diverse ecosystems in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Steven, Robin, and their three children still sell organic produce at farmers' markets throughout Southern California.
